QUEENSBURY — Two teens were arrested Thursday in connection with complaints about thefts of items from parked cars, including one incident where a window was smashed to steal a purse, police said.
The duo were believed to be linked to complaints of thefts from vehicles on John Street and Nathan Street early Thursday, and a witness' description of a vehicle the thieves may have fled in led to arrests later in the day, according to the Warren County Sheriff's Office.
Charged with felony counts of grand larceny were Austin J. Matott, 19, and Bradley M. Faggiano, 17, both of Queensbury, police said. Faggiano was also charged with misdemeanor petit larceny and criminal mischief and non-criminal unlawful possession of marijuana, according to the Sheriff's Office.
Police did not say whether the stolen items were recovered.
A third teen who was with the duo, Justin J. Rehm, 19, of Glens Falls, was charged with non-criminal unlawful possession of marijuana but was not implicated in the thefts.
Matott and Rehm were released pending prosecution in Queensbury Town Court, while Faggiano was held pending arraignment.
Sheriff's Patrol Officer Jacob Kearns handled the case.
