SOUTH GLENS FALLS | A U.S. Postal Service employee has been accused of possessing a credit card that was stolen out of a person's mail, police said.
Thomas Schoen, 52, of Gansevoort, was arrested Wednesday afternoon after an investigation by State Police and U.S. Postal Inspectors.
He was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a felony, and misdemeanor official misconduct, police records show.
Schoen was released pending prosecution in Moreau Town Court.
State Police referred comment to the U.S. Postal Service in Albany, but calls to the office and a regional press office were not returned Thursday afternoon
