QUEENSBURY — A Queensbury man who was jailed earlier this month for allegedly beating a woman and damaging her car was arrested again this week after he tried to contact her from jail, police said.
Mark K. Sparks, 49, was charged with aggravated family offense, a felony, for making numerous phone calls to the victim from Warren County Jail, the Warren County Sheriff's Office said in a news release.
He had been jailed June 2 on felony charges of criminal contempt and criminal mischief for allegedly hitting the woman in violation of an order of protection, and by June 4 the Sheriff's Office had received a complaint from the victim about Sparks' jail phone calls.
Sparks was arraigned and returned to Warren County Jail for lack of bail.
Sheriff's Investigator Chris Hatin made the arrest.
