FORT EDWARD — A Fort Edward man is headed to state prison for violating an order of protection.
Cody M. Turner, 26, pleaded guilty in Washington County Court to first-degree criminal contempt in connection with an arrest in Fort Edward earlier this year.
Police said he violated an order of protection.
Turner, who has a criminal history that includes at least two other criminal contempt arrests, was sentenced to one year in state prison to be followed by an unspecified period of time on parole. Washington County Judge Kelly McKeighan also issued a 5-year order of protection on behalf of the victim.
