Boys Basketball: Glens Falls wins state title

GLENS FALLS — A parade to celebrate the Glens Falls boys basketball team, which won a state title in dramatic fashion on Saturday, will take place Tuesday.

The parade will start at the high school at 5:45 p.m. and proceed to the gazebo in City Park where it will be greeted by Mayor Dan Hall and other city officials.

The parade will make its way from Sherman Avenue to Glen Street to Bay Street to Maple Street.

The parade is open to the public and is expected to reach the park around 6 p.m.

The Indians defeated Lowville 75-74 in overtime for a Class B state title in Binghamton.

It was the first state title for the boys basketball program.

Glens Falls will play South Bronx Prep, starting Saturday at 3 p.m. in Cool Insuring Arena as part of the Federation Tournament of Champions. The four-team playoff will conclude at 4 p.m. Sunday against either Lawrence Woodmere or Cardinal O’Hara.
