GLENS FALLS — City Park got a facelift on Friday, thanks in part to the community putting its mark on the sidewalk with chalk.

Art in the Public Eye's annual Chalk Fest featured artists and sisters Ericka and Kristen Wadleigh, who were busy Friday afternoon drawing a work called "Connect Disconnect."

Ericka said the work reflects on today's society, where people need to disconnect from social media and phones so they can connect with people, and downtown Glens Falls is a great place to do so.

Chalk Fest in its fifth year raises funds for Art in the Public Eye, which hosts community events, including a Friday night movie series in City Park.

"Coco" was shown at sunset Friday, and upcoming films include "Goodbye Christopher Robin," "The Emoji Movie," "Moana," and "The Princess Bride" wrapping up the series on Sept. 7.
