CAMBRIDGE — A 71-year-old woman was critically hurt Friday night when she was hit by a car while crossing Main Street, police said.
The victim, whose name wasn't released pending notification of relatives, was crossing from a business to her car when she was hit by a vehicle, according to Cambridge-Greenwich Police Sgt. Robert Danko. The collision happened around 5:45 p.m. near 47 West Main, he said.
She was taken to Albany Medical Center via helicopter for treatment of serious internal injuries, and police said she was listed in critical condition early Saturday.
Danko said the victim was not in a crosswalk.
The woman who hit her, Sylvia Jolivette, 83, of Manchester, Vermont, was not charged.
"It doesn't look like there was anything criminal. It was just an accident," Danko said.
