SARATOGA -- A woman was found in a ditch along County Road 68 after she was struck by a passing car early Sunday, police said.
Police said numerous pieces of evidence from the vehicle involved were discovered at the scene. A search of vehicles matching the description from the evidence allowed investigating officers to locate the car in Easton.
Matthew J. DeGregory, 29, of Route 40 South, was subsequently charged with leaving the scene of a serious personal injury accident, a felony.
The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office said the 26-year-old female was standing in a residential driveway near the road when she was hit around 2 a.m.
