Farmers market to host Pumpkin Festival

GLENS FALLS -- The Glens Falls Farmers Market will host its 26th annual Pumpkin Festival from 8 a.m.-noon on Saturday at the South Street Community Pavilion in downtown Glens Falls.

The first 300 children to attend will receive free pumpkins.

Free pony rides will be offered from 9 a.m.-noon, and there will be a bounce house and a live llama at the festival.

Musical entertainment will be provided by Jessica Trombley from 9-10 a.m., Alan Dunham and Elizabeth Wing from 10-11 a.m., and Cindy Cafaro from 11 a.m. to noon.

The market will remain open at the South Street Community Pavilion from 8 a.m.-noon on Saturdays through Nov. 20. It will move to the Christ Church United Methodist fellowship hall for the winter beginning on Nov. 27.

The Queensbury Farmers Market will be open from 3-6 p.m. on Mondays through Oct. 25 at the Elks Lodge on Cronin Road in Queensbury.
