MOREAU -- The South Glens Falls Paranormal Society will offer guided public investigations of the Parks-Bentley Place historic home Friday and Saturday.
Reservations are available both nights, and the investigations will run from 7 to 10 p.m. The events are fundraisers for the Historical Society of Moreau and South Glens Falls.
Tickets are $35 per person.
There will also be guided investigations of the home Aug. 10 and 11 and Sept. 14 and 15.
Those who attend will team up with members of the Paranormal Society to investigate both the main home and an old school house on the grounds. Society members will provide all necessary tools and will offer guidance on investigation techniques.
The Parks-Bentley Place is owned and operated by the Historical Society. The oldest part of the home was built during the 1770s as the home of Daniel Parks II, an early settler of the town. The property is listed on the National Registers of Historic Places.
For reservations, call 761-0928. Payment, in the form of cash or personal check, will be accepted at the door.
Those younger than 18 must be accompanied by an adult, and all attendees must present a photo identification and sign a liability waiver.
