Local students on Dean’s List at UNH

DURHAM, N.H. — Students have been named to the Dean’s List at the University of New Hampshire for the fall 2017 semester. Students named to the Dean’s List at the University of New Hampshire are students who have earned recognition through their superior scholastic performance during a semester enrolled in a full-time course load (12 or more graded credits). Highest honors are awarded to students who earn a semester grade point average of 3.85 or better out of a possible 4.0. Students with a 3.65 to 3.84 average are awarded high honors and students whose grade point average is 3.5 through 3.64 are awarded honors. Local students include:

Bain named to list at Furman University

GREENVILLE, S.C. — Kathleen Bain of South Glens Falls, daughter of Alison Bain and Sean Bain, has been named to the Dean’s List for the 2017 fall semester at Furman University.

Furman’s Dean’s List is composed of full-time undergraduate students who earn a grade point average of 3.4 or higher on a four-point system.

Williamson earns Dean’s List status

AMHERST — Isaiah Williamson of Queensbury has achieved Dean’s List status at Daemen College for the fall 2017 semester.

A matriculated undergraduate student who attains a grade point average of 3.30 or better in any one semester is eligible for Dean’s List status.

POTSDAM — Students have been named Presidential Scholars for the fall 2017 semester at Clarkson University. Presidential Scholars must achieve a minimum 3.80 grade point average and carry at least 14 credit hours. Local students include:

Lasell College sets its fall Dean’s List

NEWTON, Mass. — Lasell College in Newton, Massachusetts announced students named to the fall 2017 Dean’s List. Students with this accomplishment are full-time degree candidates who completed 12 or more credits in the fall semester, with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher. This semester’s Dean’s List encompasses students from all class years and over 30 majors, including 157 members of the school’s freshman class. Local students include:

  • Connor Reardon of Queensbury, sport management; and
  • Andrew Zibro of Lake George, sport management.

Paolano graduates from Ithaca College

ITHACA — Olivia Paolano of Queensbury graduated Cum Laude from Ithaca College with a Bachelor of Science degree in recreation management. The degree was awarded in December 2017.

Hill earns spot on Keuka Dean’s List

KEUKA PARK — Avery Rushworth Hill of Queensbury has been named to the Dean’s List at Keuka College in Keuka Park. Hill is a sophomore studying occupational therapy. She is the daughter of Jeffrey and Deirdre Hill. A Keuka College student must earn at least a 3.50 grade point average for a minimum of 12 semester credit hours to be eligible for the Dean’s List.

Dean’s List honors earned at Cortland

CORTLAND — The State University of New York College at Cortland has named students to the Dean’s List for the fall 2017 semester. Local students include:

  • Christina Galatioto of Queensbury, an athletic training major; and
  • Michael Oleynek of Queensbury, a physical education/health major.
