Veronica Davis

March 18, 1943—May 1, 2019

GREENWICH — Veronica Davis, 76, a resident of Spraguetown Road in Greenwich passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Saratoga Hospital.

She was born March 18, 1943 in New York City to the late Burl Owens and Mary Crotty.

Veronica was a loving, kind person who carried a sarcastic sense of humor. She loved trips to Saratoga, yardsaling, shopping, traveling to Florida with her husband, Gordon and dining out with him. She attended Salem Central School. Veronica loved her husband, children, and grandchildren dearly. She will be missed greatly by her family and all who knew her kindness and caring ways.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Eli St. John; sisters, Elaine Demarsico, Muriel Barrett, Lillian Bain, and Renee Nix; and brother, John Owens.

She is survived by her loving husband of 13 years, Gordon W. Davis of Greenwich; daughters, Wendy (Phil Anderson) St. John of Greenwich, Julie (Tom) Walsh of Cossayuna, and Mary Ann Owens of Mechanicville; sons, Richard Jenkins of Pennsylvania, Joseph Owens and Eli St. John, Jr.; brother, Frank (Connie) Owens; sister, Yvonne Crotty and Rita Allen; grandchildren, Phillip Anderson, Sonya Daniels, Derek Owens, Thomas, Casey and Monica Walsh, Linda, Lola, and Richard Jenkins, Jr. and Heather Camfield, Jessie Owens and Kendra Fuller; several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and special niece, Veronica Bounds.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 9, at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, County Road 52, Greenwich, with the Rev. Martin Fisher officiating.
