CORINTH — Thomas W. Clothier Sr., 67, of Hollister Road, passed away Friday, March 8, 2019 at the Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany, following a long illness.
Born on March 18, 1951 in Corinth, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Ruth Clothier.
Tom graduated from Corinth High School in 1969 and joined the United States Air Force on Feb. 13, 1970, serving during the Vietnam War as a sergeant (E4), fire protection specialist, until his discharge on Feb. 12, 1974.
He was employed for many years as a self-employed truck driver.
Tom was a member of the Patriot Guard Riders of Hudson Falls and, along with Sonny Clothier, formed the Adirondack Mounted Search Patrol, participating in many local parades.
He enjoyed fishing, cooking, photography, riding his motorcycles, family genealogy and was a really strong supporter of the military.

Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by an infant sister.
Survivors include his lifelong partner, Mary Engle of Corinth; eight children, Consuelo Davis (Alvin) of Glens Falls, Melissa McDougall of Chesapeake, Virginia, Sabra Arnold (Josh) of Clarksburg, Maryland, Thomas W. Clothier Jr. (Amy) of Saratoga Lake, Katherine Clothier of Corinth, Calvin Clothier (Ashley) of Moreau, Jessica Clothier (Kyer) of Corinth and Christopher Clothier (Kiersten) of Corinth; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ron Clothier of Corinth and Bruce Clothier (Linda) of Corinth; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 16, at Densmore Funeral Home, Inc., 7 Sherman Ave., Corinth, with the Rev. Kenneth Swain officiating.
Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 16, at the funeral home prior to the service.
Spring burial will be held at Corinth Rural Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank the staff at the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center and the Fisher House for their kindness and compassionate care given to Tom and to his family during his illness.
