QUEENSBURY — Rose T. Mazzone, 99, a resident of Queensbury, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2019 at The Pines of Glens Falls Center, surrounded by her loving daughters.
She was born on Oct. 13, 1919 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and was the daughter of the late Adam and Edna (Lenke) Goss.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, playing scrabble, sewing and spending time with her family at gatherings and reunions.
In the late 1970s, she worked for the Queensbury School District and was known as “The French Fry Lady.”
Her husband, Emilo A. Mazzone, passed away on Feb. 3, 2010. She is also predeceased by her two brothers, Edward and Leo; and five sisters, Dorothy, Joan, Claire, Helen and Edna.
Survivors include her two daughters, Annabelle Lee Willett of Florida and Margaret R. Mazzone of Queensbury; one brother, John Goss of Queensbury; and a sister, Margaret Staszewski of New Jersey; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Burial will take place at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours.
