October 14, 1932 — August 20, 2018 WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Robert G. Henderson of West Palm Beach, Florida, formerly of Gansevoort, was called home to be with the Lord Aug. 20, 2018. Following a long battle with cancer, he passed away at home peacefully in the arms of his loving wife.

He leaves behind his wife, Theresa, of 44 years; his sister, Jeannie Parker; his children, Rita Henderson, Thomas Henderson (Lisa), Bobby Henderson and Joanie Nichols, Linda Williams, Donna Cook (Kenneth), Gordon (Chip) Hayes (Cheri); his grandchildren, Kellen, Jaysen, Tamara, Jay, David, Meredith, Marleise, Jason, Justin and Jake; several great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Lena Henderson; his son, John Henderson; his sisters, Rose Henderson, and Ruth Willard; and brother, James Henderson.

Bob was a veteran who served in the Army during the Korean War. Known by his family and friends as Moose, he worked at the Fort Edward GE, where he retired after 38 years. He enjoyed playing golf, bowling with the blind bowlers, loved the Saratoga Race Track and the horses, and listening to his Christian music. Bob loved life and made friends easily and you could always hear his laughter in the crowd.

There will be a 10 a.m. graveside memorial service celebrating his life on Oct. 15 at the Union Cemetery, Fort Edward for friends and family who wish to attend.
