CLIFTON PARK and QUEENSBURY — Kristie Ann Roberts Proctor, 27, of Queensbury and Clifton Park, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, at her home.
Born on Nov. 14, 1984, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of Robert and Cindy (McLaughlin) Roberts, Jr.
Kristie graduated from Queensbury High School, class of 2002 and received her paramedic certificate from SUNY at Cobleskill. In 2002, she enlisted in the New York Army National Guard and graduated basic training at Fort Jackson, S.C. Kristie then completed AIT training at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. In Jan. of 2004, she transferred to New York Air National Guard in Scotia and served until June of 2006. Kristie reenlisted in the New York Army National Guard in 2012 at the site of her grandfather’s grave in Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Veterans Cemetery. She currently served as a medic with the 466 Area Support Medical Company. Kristie was a 68W medical specialist.
On Nov. 12, 2011, she married Adam J. Proctor at Fox Run Golf Course in Johnstown.
Kristie was a paramedic for Clifton Park Halfmoon Emergency Corps and a volunteer paramedic with Broadalbin Perth Ambulance Service. She was affiliated with EMS agencies throughout New York state. Kristie was very well respected and loved. She loved kids and was instrumental in the development of a Jr. Squad at West Glens Falls Emergency Squad and working on a Jr. Squad for Clifton Park.
As a youth, Kristie was one of the original members of Warren County Explorer Post No. 911 and is currently a member of the American Legion Post No. 374 of Lake George.
Kristie was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Victor McLaughlin; her paternal grandfather, Robert Roberts Sr.; and her uncle, Jeff Mclaughlin.
Survivors include her husband, Adam J. Proctor of Clifton Park; her parents, Bob and Cindy Roberts of Queensbury; her maternal grandmother, Charmaine McLaughlin of North Lawrence, N.Y.; her paternal grandmother, Dolores Roberts of South Colton, N.Y.; her mother-in-law, Donna E. Proctor of Glens Falls; sister-in-law, Becky Starin of Glens Falls; loving nephew, (they adored each other) Lane Tyler Mattison of Glens Falls; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and many, many friends.
Kristie didn’t always follow the rules, but she always followed her heart.
Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday, at Carleton Funeral Home Inc., 68 Main St. in Hudson Falls.
Funeral services will be conducted at 6 p.m. Monday, following the calling hours, at the funeral home, with New York State Chaplain Col. Eric Olsen, officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.
