BRANT LAKE — John Michael ‘Gramps’ Lewis, 70, died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2018 at Glens Falls Hospital as a result of an automobile accident.
Born May 12, 1948 in Schenectady, he was the son of the late John and Agnes Lewis.

John was a sawyer for most of his life working in various sawmills. He was employed at Baker’s Sawmill in Warrensburg, Lincoln Logs in Chestertown for 26 years, then Cersosimo Lumber in Warrensburg and recently Riverside Truss in Riparius. Gramps enjoyed the outdoors hiking, photography and astronomy. When Gramps was younger he enjoyed playing his guitar in many local bands at various local taverns. Survivors include his wife, Linda M. (Delaney) Lewis of Brant Lake; one son, Graham Lewis of Michigan; one brother, Ralph (Pam) Lewis of Burnt Hills; and many friends.
At John’s request there will be no calling hours or funeral services.
