SCHUYLERVILLE — James F. Mallory Sr., 81, a resident of Homestead Road, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017 at Saratoga Hospital.
Born Aug. 27, 1936 in Lester, Vermont, he was the son of the late Edwin and Ellen Mallory.
Mr. Mallory was a U.S. veteran, having served with the Air National Guard. He worked for Morehouse Construction for many years prior to starting Mallory Construction. He enjoyed working on cars, working with his hands and sealcoating. He created relationships with everyone he met.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, James F. Mallory Jr.; his daughter, Deborah Wells; and his brother, Edwin Mallory.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Marie Mallory of Saratoga Springs; his children, Diane (Randall) Behnke of Red Wing, Minnesota and Michael (Tammy) Mallory of Schuylerville; six grandchildren, Jacob, Lauren and Megan Behnke of Wisconsin, Bryce and Colin Wells of Saratoga Springs and Kirsten Mallory of Schuylerville; one great-grandson, Greyson Herrmann of Wisconsin; a sister, Nancy Mallory of Waterford; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to a gathering from noon to 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15 at the Mallory home, 136 Homestead Road, Saratoga Springs.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
