QUAKER SPRINGS — Idalee M. Sanders, 85, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2019 at the Teresian House in Albany.
Born Oct. 5, 1933 in Addison, Vermont, she was the daughter of the late Joel and Dorothy Randall.
Idalee earned a degree in nursing from Memorial School of Nursing, followed by attaining her school nurse teacher license. She served as a school nurse teacher at Mechanicville Central School District, as well as working as a nurse at Saratoga Hospital.
She was a longtime member of the Fort Miller Reformed Church, serving as a Deacon.
In addition to her parents, Idalee was predeceased by her husband, Neil Thomas Sanders; and her grandson, Sean Curtis.
Survivors include her children, Neil Trevor (Colleen) Sanders, Rona (Robert) Sanders and Tanya (Robert) Curtis; grandchildren, Jared (Kristin), Kevin, Kyle, Abby, Evan and Ryan; great-granddaughter, Avery; and special niece, Eleanor James.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 18, at Fort Miller Reformed Church, 1239 Fort Miller Road, Fort Edward. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery in Quaker Springs.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville.
