AUBURNDALE, Fla. — Hope A. (Hunter) Bentzel returned home on Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018. Hope was born in 1948, to Arthur and Reta Hunter. She was proudly raised in Glens Falls, where she graduated from Glens Falls High School in 1966. Hope then attended United Wesleyan College in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
Her parents, brother Sherrill, and husbands, Rev. John W. Amy, and Thomas Hobbs predeceased Hope.
Hope is survived by her daughter, Anne Taylor; her husband, Andrew, and their children, Morgan, Mason, Caleb, and Levi; her son, Eric J. Amy, his wife Michelle, and their children, Christina and Hunter; her sisters, Rebekah, Yvonne, and Ruth; her brothers, Lyndon, Jonathan, and Philip, and their families; and her two close friends, Darlene Brown and Linda Schultz.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at the Durkeetown Baptist Church, 2 Durkeetown Road, Fort Edward.
