SABAEL -- Dorothy “Dot” M. Lang, 91, of Route 30 , died peacefully, Saturday, June 1, 2013, at Adirondack Tri County Nursing Home, North Creek.
Born April 18, 1922, in Hempstead, Long Island, she was the daughter of William and Genieve (Schnieder) Glacy. She was a graduate of South Side High School, Rockville Center.
Dot married Joseph J. Lang June 12, in Amityville. Mr. Lang died May 3, 2001, following 57 years of marriage.
She had been employed at Garden City Bank, Long Island, and later owned and operated Broadway Garden Center in Amityville, with her husband, Joe.
Upon their retirement in 1981, they moved permanently into their vacation home in Sabael, which they had purchased in 1967.
Dot enjoyed raising canaries, gardening and crafts.
She was a member of the North Country Crafters and was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church, Indian Lake, where she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society.

She was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Joseph Lang.
Survivors include her very dear friend, Theresa Bennett of Sabael, who was like a sister to her; several other close friends, nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at Miller Funeral Home, 6357 State Route 30, Indian Lake.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at St. Mary’s Church, Indian Lake, with the Rev. Philip Allen, pastor of St. Mary’s Church, Indian Lake, officiating.
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Indian Lake.
