GLENS FALLS — David Murray, 58, of Glens Falls passed away with family by his side at Albany Medical Center on Sunday March 4, 2018, after suffering a stroke.
Born July 25, 1959 at the U.S. Army Hospital in Fort Campbell, Kentucky, he was the son of Leland and Dorothy Murray. A 1978 graduate of Glens Falls High School, David spent the past 40 years working in the kitchens of several restaurants in the Glens Falls area. He was happiest when he was cooking and sharing great food with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by a brother, Frank Murray; and a sister, Christina Murray. He is survived by his son, Michael Murray and wife, Christine; and daughters, Karen Murray, Samanntha Murray and Kaitlyne Harrington and her husband, Kirk Harrington; as well as 10 grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, William Murray of Charleston, South Carolina, Robert Murray and wife, Kathleen Murray of South Glens Falls, Dolores Suprenant of Fredricksburg, Virginia, Patricia Hill and husband, David Hill of Holiday, Florida and Teresa Crounse and husband, Arthur of Tarpin Springs, Florida; as well as many nieces and nephews.
David’s last wishes were for his remains to be donated to Albany Medical College, Anatomical Gift Program, in Albany.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, at St. Michael’s Church at 80 Saratoga Ave. South Glens Falls.
