September 22, 1930 — September 9, 2018 HUDSON FALLS — Aurore B. Koos, 87, of Hudson Falls, passed away at the Pines in Glens Falls on Sunday, Sept. 9, 2018.
Born on Sept. 22, 1930 in Queens, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Katherine (Knieste) Brown.
Aurore married Joseph C. Koos on Feb. 14, 1953 at St. Barnabus Lutheran Church in Howard Beach, Queens. They were married for 58 years until his passing.
She was first employed by New York Life in Manhattan as a claims adjustor. After moving here, she worked at Continental Insurance in Glens Falls.
Aurore was an active member of the Hudson Falls United Methodist Church. She loved traveling and dining out, but most important to her, was spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents and husband, Joseph, she was predeceased by her son, Douglas Koos.
Survivors include her sister, Evelyn Bulcroft of Staten Island; her daughter, Diane Seney of Mayfield; her three grandchildren, Derek Seney, Alisha Brown and her husband, Matt, and Joseph Koos; her daughter-in-law, Melissa Koos of Hudson Falls; her nephew, Kenneth Bulcroft and wife, Carol; her niece, Kathy Campanelli and her husband, Tommy; her nephew, Roy Dykeman and his wife, Jeanine; and her nephew, Ray Dykeman and his wife, Brenda.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17, at Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main St., Hudson Falls.
The funeral will be held at 12:30 p.m. following the calling hours, at the funeral home. Burial will take place at 2:30 p.m. at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in the town of Stillwater.
The family suggests that donations in Aurore’s name be made to the charity of one’s choice.
