GALWAY - Elise J. (Plummer) Minkler, 66, of Galway, passed away Thursday, Feb. 26 at her home.
Born in Corinth, Jan. 31, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Elsie Plummer Sr.
She graduated from Hadley-Luzerne High School in 1961 and maintained a close relationship with many of her classmates. She attended Mildred Elly Secretarial in Albany following High School and was employed by the State of New York for a short time before leaving to raise her family.
Her family was the most important thing in her life, especially her daughters and her grandchildren, and she shared her love and time with them all.
She is survived by her husband of forty-four years, Gerard Minkler; two daughters, Deborah Ann LaFleur and Donna Marie Lundquist, both of Galway; four grandchildren: Marisa Kathryn LaFleur, Kevin Timothy LaFleur, Eva Elise Lundquist and R. Aaron Lundquist III, all of Galway; a brother, Raymond Stanley Plummer (Sandy) of Lake Luzerne, a sister Virginia King of Hadley and several cousins, nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a few very close friends who helped care for her in her final days.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, at Armer Funeral Home Inc., 39 East High St., Ballston Spa.
Calling hours will precede the service from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
