FRIDAY, SATURDAY, SUNDAY
LAKE GEORGE — The Adirondack Christkindlmarkt, a “European-style” Christmas market with Adirondack flair, will take place at 3 p.m. Friday and at 11 a.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Festival Commons at Charles R. Wood Park, 17-19 W. Brook Road.
The German word “Christkindlmarkt” is pronounced kris-kindel-mart. These markets originated in Germany centuries ago. Other countries and cities have adopted the tradition throughout the years.
The event will include music, entertainment, food, drink, shopping and children's activities for all to enjoy. The Lake George Steamboat Company will provide food and beverages including coffee, doughnuts, beer and “Gluhwein,” literally translated from German to English as “glow wine.”
Attendees will find premier shopping with more than 30 artisans, traditional food and beverages, live entertainment, horse-drawn carriage rides and family-friendly activities for all to enjoy. This event is free to attend and will go on rain, shine or snow. Vendors will be under a heated tent. For more information, go to Facebook.com/ADKChristkindlmarkt.
