The Glens Falls Metropolitan Statistical Area unemployment rate rose in November, according to the state Department of Labor.
In the state's monthly report, the area encompassing Warren and Washington counties reported an unemployment rate of 5.2 percent, increasing from 4.1 percent in October. The rate is also higher than November 2016's rate of 4.9 percent.
Warren County reported an unemployment rate of 5.8 percent and Washington County reported a rate of 4.6 percent, according to the report.
Saratoga County's unemployment rate is listed at 4 percent and Essex County at 5.9 percent. Hamilton County reported a state-high 9.9 percent unemployment rate.
Last week, the Department of Labor reported an unemployment rate of 4.7 percent statewide.
The rates are calculated by contacting approximately 3,100 households in the state each month.
