Old Navy Outlet to open May 25
QUEENSBURY — Old Navy Outlet will open on May 25 at The Outlets of Lake George West.
The retailer is located in a space that covers more than 12,000 square feet on Route 9. It will celebrate its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting, special deals and fun for the family.
Old Navy is joining other brands at the The Outlets at Lake George such as Coach Outlet, Michael Kors, Vera Bradley Outlet, Polo Ralph Lauren Factory Store, Adidas, Levi’s Outlet Store, LOFT Outlet, Bass Factory Outlet and Asics.
EDC breakfast set for May 30
QUEENSBURY — Ross D. Levi, executive director of tourism for Empire State Development, will deliver the keynote address at EDC Warren County’s 20th annual lunch on May 30.
The event will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Great Escape Lodge in Queensbury. Tourism is a $1.4 billion industry and supports over 21,000 jobs in the Adirondack Region. Warren County represents $600 million of that total, according to a news release.
The program will also include remarks by Rebecca Wood, the new president of Six Flags Great Escape Resort, and an update on EDC initiatives and recognition of other activities in the county and region.
Tickets are available online at www.edcwc.org and can also be obtained by calling the EDC office at 518-761-6007. The price for EDC members and event sponsors are $55 each or $500 for 10 tickets. The price for the general public is $75 apiece or $650 for 10 tickets. Sponsorships are available.
Downtown shops have ‘Spring Fever’
GLENS FALLS — Local downtown businesses will be participating in a “spring fever” shopping event from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
There will be discounts and special giveaways offered throughout downtown.
Among the stores that are participating are Beauty Bubble, Finders Keepers Consignments, Fountain Square Outfitters, Lake George Olive Oil Company, Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council, Milk & Honey, MinkyMink, Northeastern Fine Jewelry, Rude Betty, Shine Style Boutique, Whisper Boutique and 42 Degrees.
Glens Falls National Bank ranked on top
GLENS FALLS — Glens Falls National Bank and Trust Co. has been named to Seifried & Brew’s “Top 15th Percentile of Community Banks” list based upon its 2018 performance.

The Bethlehem, Pennsylvania-based company, which specializes in education and analysis for community banks, compared banks nationwide with assets between $10 million and $30 billion, using a composite ranking system.
The ranking cited Glens Falls National Bank’s exemplary performance in balancing risk and reward, according to a news release. Glens Falls National Bank scored in the 85th percentile, with a national rank of 778.
