QUEENSBURY — Binley Florist & Garden Center will hold its first Spring Fling on April 27.

The free event will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the florist at 773 Quaker Road.

It will feature a talk on container gardening by Tom Kirby of Griffin Greenhouse Supply at 10 a.m., and raised bed gardening by master gardener Rich Goodman at 1 p.m.

There will be activities for children throughout the day, including a petting zoo and pony rides, arts and crafts, face painting and wizard workshop.

A "Jurassic Park" Jeep will be on hand. There will also be a plant-your-own-pansy seminar for children.

Glens Falls Police Officer Chris Perelli will give demonstrations with police dog Phlash. Texas Roadhouse will provide free food samples. Raffles will be held, and Andy the Armadillo and Binley’s new mascot will make appearances.
