I've been wondering who the first ex-Trump official to come out with a tell-all book will be. Reince Priebus would have a lot to tell, and now he has been forced out, he would seem to be a good candidate. But he probably wants to continue in Republican politics in some position or other, and writing a tell-all, at least at this point, might seem bad form.
So I'm putting my money on Anthony Scaramucci. He didn't last long, but what he lacked in longevity he more than made up for in colorfulness. His notorious interview with Ryan Lizza, the New Yorker reporter, has to be one of the greatest bits of pre-publication publicity ever recorded. If Scaramucci's plan was to get in, make a huge splash, get out and get a book deal, he pulled it off brilliantly. All he needs now is a good title. "10 Days and Done"? "Implosion: How to Ruin Your Life and Career in Under 2 Weeks by Anthony 'Mooch' "Scaramucci"? I'm sure they can come up with a winner.
