New York City ranked as the 8th-best city for millennials, according to an analysis by Nestpick.
The furnished apartment search engine analyzed cities on several criteria including ability to start up businesses, housing affordability, immigration tolerance and quality of nightlife. The breakdown of components of the score was 25 percent for business ecosystem including jobs, start-up businesses and tourism; 30 percent for essentials such as housing affordability, public transit, higher education institutions, health and internet speed; 25 percent for openness and inclusion including gender rights and LGBTQ and immigration tolerance; and 20 percent for recreation.
Two other U.S. cities ranked in the top 20 – San Francisco at 13th and Austin at 14th.
