With only two weeks to go before Democratic primary in the NY-21 Congressional District on June 26, the candidates are taking the chance to get out before voters in two back-to-back forums.
The five candidates — Tedra Cobb of Canton, Emily Martz of Saranac Lake, Patrick Nelson of Stillwater, Dylan Ratigan of Lake Placid and Katie Wilson of Keene — will be taping a forum hosted by Mountain Lakes PBS in Plattsburgh at 6:30 p.m. The program will air on Friday at 8 p.m. People can also view the live stream at https://mountainlake.org/ny21/
The candidates took part in a forum Monday at Maple Avenue Middle School in Greenfield. To read my story about the event, click HERE.
These are good opportunities to get to learn about the candidates. When I covered Monday’s event, I noticed that there were not a lot of young people in the audience. It would be nice to get them more involved in the political process.
