National Grid reads the Post-Star.

I found this out when a NG representative called South Glens Falls Mayor Harry Gutheil about his plan to organize opposition to the National Grid rate increase.

They take him seriously. He won a major case against National Grid and Erie Boulevard Hydropower in 2006, spending $1.3 million to fight the company over its tax bill. The win saved Moreau and South Glens Falls taxpayers about $13 million.

National Grid doesn’t want to lose that much again.

He said he’s happy to meet with them over the rate increase. I told him to let me know if he succeeds in convincing them to drop their case.
