Saratoga Springs Mayor Scott Johnson on Tuesday confirmed he is considering running for state Assembly if Assemblyman Tony Jordan, R-Jackson, is successful in his bid for Washington County District Attorney.
“I’ve been asked,” Johnson said during a telephone interview on a separate matter. “I’ve been asked, but beyond that there is nothing more to report.”
Johnson, a Republican, is not running for re-election as mayor in November.
Jordan has said he would resign from the Assembly if he wins the district attorney race in November.
