The Brant Lake Community will again have a general store.
It's been nearly eight years since the arson case involving a Cohoes man who set the fire that destroyed Brant Lake General Store on Aug. 1, 2006.
On May 8, a local couple plans to unveil a lifelong dream and fulfill a need in the community when they open the doors to The Lazy Moose Garden Market on Route 8.
Married couple Paul and Teri Schuerlein have big plans for the space, which was once a bus garage and then a hardware store.
They’re planning to offer a café with home-baked breads, a locally-made fudge station, greenhouses and more. We’ll have more on this story closer to the store opening.
But for now, check out their Facebook for photos of the transformation.
