Barcomb in Jeopardy

Glens Falls native Francois Barcomb, left, with Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek. Barcomb is competing in the annual Jeopardy! teachers tournament.

A Fort Edward (corrected) native who works as a teacher downstate has been raking in some nice cash on the TV game show Jeopardy! this week.

Francois "Chip" Barcomb, a 1986 St. Mary's Academy grad who now lives in New Paltz, has been making his way through the annual Jeopardy! teachers tourney over the past two weeks, winning again with a total of $18,801 in a show broadcast Tuesday night. The margin of $4 was exceptionally close, though.

He won over $20,000 in one of his preliminary contests last week.

Barcomb is a physics teacher at Henrick Hudson High School in Westchester County.
