House Speaker Paul Ryan on Friday appointed Reps. Elise Stefanik, R-Willsboro, and Chris Gibson, R-Kinderhook, to the conference committee that will negotiate differences between the House and Senate versions of the National Defense Authorization Act, a comprehensive budget policy bill.
"This legislation is critical to providing for our nation's security, and it's important that our district and Fort Drum have a seat at the table during the negotiations," Stefanik said in a press release.
"I am ready to work with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to further strengthen our defense policy bill," Gibson said, in a press release.
