Michigan Democrat co-sponsors Stefanik invasive species stamp legislation

U.S. Rep. Daniel Kildee, D-Mich., on Wednesday, co-sponsored legislation Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-Willsboro, introduced May 25 to direct the U.S. Postal Service to offer a premium postage stamp that would raise awareness and funding for control of invasive species, according to the Library of Congress government information web site.

The legislation -- HR 5334 -- had 17 co-sponsors, as of Thursday -- nine Republicans and eight Democrats.

Kildee and Rep. Cybthia Lummis, R-Wyo., co-sponsored a separate resolution Stefanik introduced emphasizing the importance of controlling invasive species.

The resolution -- H Res 754 -- had 18 co-sponsors, as of Thursday -- 10 Republicans and eight Democrats.
