Franklin County Republican Chairman Ray Scollin and Essex County Conservative Chairman Bill McGahay have endorsed Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio, state Assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis, chairwoman of Rubio's New York campaign committee, announced Monday.

"The Republican Party currently faces a crisis in defining who we are, and who we want to be. This crisis is real, and it comes at a time when our nation cannot afford to falter for another four years," said Scollin, who also is regional vice chairman of the state Republican Committee.

Elsewhere in the Adirondacks, former Gov. George Pataki, who owns a farm in Essex, and Assemblyman Marc Butler, R-Newport, previously endorsed Rubio, according to the press release.

The New York presidential primary is April 19.
