If you want to learn more about ice fishing, or are looking for some good deals on equipment, in Queensbury will be worth a visit on Saturday.

The business, located on Route 9 at the north end of the Million Dollar Half-Mile outlet centers behind Log Jam, will hold its annual ice fishing open house, with educational offerings and equipment sales.

The event will include seminars on fishing on Lake George and Great Sacandaga Lake, equipment demonstrations, and representatives of equipment manufacturers will be on hand. It runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

With this week's cold weather, it won't be long until many of our smaller waters are ready for hardwater fishing. Some in the central Adirondacks were already being fished as of last weekend.
