One more weekend, then prom season will be put to bed.
The process started when snow was on the ground, gathering details of prom locations, grand marches and most importantly the dates and times for each school. Now the grass is green, leaves are on the trees and the flowers are blooming.
The annual prom project was started by my predecessor, Doug Gruse, and I have worked hard to keep it going.
While we strive to capture a photo of each couple, things you can't plan on are camera malfunctions, lack of lighting, too much lighting or prom couples that do not stop at the X for the crowd to admire during the grand marches.
At the end of Saturday, The Post-Star will have covered 20 proms across Saratoga, Warren and Washington counties.
You have free articles remaining.
As a teaser for this weekend, look for galleries from Argyle, South Glens Falls, Schuylerville, Warrensburg and Whitehall proms.
The Sunday Arts | Life front page on May 27 will also be turned into a two-page spread or double truck in newspaper lingo of some of the best photos from the five week venture.
As a look back, scroll through our latest galleries from Bolton, Cambridge, Corinth, Greenwich and North Warren from this past weekend and others in previous weeks.
