Just Water CEO Ira Laufer appeared recently on, an on-demand streaming news network, to talk about the company.

The Glens Falls water company founded by Jaden Smith is setting a trend for other plastic bottle companies. Laufer took over in April and the environmentally friendly containers dominated the interview.

The containers are made out of paper and the cap and shoulder are made of sugar cane from Brazil.

He also hints at the company branching out into other products and how they decided on Glens Falls water in a public-private partnership.

Laufer said the company visited a few cities and ultimately decided on the region for its water quality.

"We found the water in Glens Falls to be the most delicious," he said.

Laufer went on to talk about the history of the region.

"The city had an interesting story. They had 40,000 population and had major loss of industry and now it is down to about 14,000. So we thought the entire story of basically creating more infrastructure and payback to the city to gain some of the loss of industry was very interesting and intriguing to us," Laufer said.

Just Water buys its excess water and pays Glens Falls six times the municipal rate, he said.

Just Water also has an exclusive deal with the Houston Zoo, according to the interview. Laufer also hinted at other partnerships with aquariums and zoos across the county that have come out against plastic bottles.
