In case you missed the announcement, Jimmer and Whitney Fredette are expecting their second child.
In an Instagram post, the Chinese Basketball Association star and Glens Falls-native announced a baby boy is on his way in April.
The couple posed for a selfie with their baby girl Wesley, who was born in February, announcing the news.
"Baby boy coming in April! Couldn’t be more excited! I think he may come out with a jump shot haha! #jk #babyboy"
Jimmer, 29, made headlines on the court last month when he poured in a career high 75 points for the Shanghai Sharks in a 137-136 loss to the Beikong Fly Dragons.
Fredette went 24 of 34 from the field, including 7 of 10 on 3-pointers, and 20 of 21 from the foul line. He also had eight rebounds, seven assists and four steals.
Fredette’s previous career high was 73, set on Feb. 19, 2017, his first season with Shanghai, in a 135-132 double-overtime loss to the Zheijiang Guangsha Lions.
He was recently featured in a USA Today question and answer article following his career high and his hopes of returning to the NBA.
"After this season is over, I want another NBA chance. This time, I'll succeed. I feel really good about how I am playing. I know that if I get a chance, I will take advantage of it and be successful and help a team win."
Fredette is in his final year of his contract with the Shanghai Sharks.
