Names of recipients are seen on bones Thursday prior to the South High Marathon Dance. The event will benefit 42 people and groups/organizations.

The countdown to the South High Marathon Dance is less than five days away and the final fundraising push is on.

Speaking with a group of South High students making decorations last week, they said students have been going door-to-door in nearby communities and online donations will start to pick up leading up to and during the dance.

Besides decorations, the school is getting in the mood with Spirit Week which started Monday with Neon Day. A new addition to Spirit Week dubbed Tacky Tourist Day has been included for Thursday. Other days are as follows:

  • Tuesday — Tie Die Day
  • Wednesday — Cause Day
  • Thursday — Tacky Tourist
  • Friday — Red and Blue Day

The Marathon Dance kicks off Friday night and videos getting to know the 42 recipients are being made produced and published on the South High Marathon Dance YouTube page.

Four videos were available Monday evening and can be watched here
