NISKAYUNA — South Glens Falls senior Sabrena Quintois-McKinney earned girls Field Athlete of the Meet honors Saturday at the Warrior Classic track meet at Niskayuna High School.
Quintois-McKinney won two events — leaping 16 feet, 4 inches to capture the long jump, and clearing 5-1 to win the high jump. She also placed second in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 16.15 seconds as she helped the Bulldogs finish fourth in the girls team standings.
South High senior Regina Rosati added a victory in the girls 1,500, finishing in 4:45.75, and placed third in the 800 in 2:27.07.
Also placing for the Bulldogs girls were Mackenzie Collier, sixth in the pole vault; Kionah Thomas, sixth in the shot put; and the 3,200 relay team took sixth.
On the boys side, South High senior Ryan Desautels finished third in the shot put with a throw of 45-11 3/4. He was also eighth in the discus.
Queensbury’s Grace Murphy took second in the girls pole vault, clearing 9-6, and Spartans’ teammate Bailey Gengel finished third in the 100 hurdles with a time of 16.78 seconds.
Also placing for the Queensbury girls were the 400 and 1,600 relay teams, which both took sixth, with Chloe Liles and Deja Perkins running on both.
For the Spartans boys, Kevin Bouyea took fourth in the 800 in 2:05.96, and Caleb Shine was sixth in the 110 hurdles.
