CINCINNATI — Cincinnati got off only 17 shots, but the Cyclones scored on two of them and finished with a 2-1 victory over the Adirondack Thunder Saturday night.
Chris Leone scored a first-period goal, Eric Knodel added a power-play marker in the second and the Cyclones held on for a 2-1 victory. Anthony Peters stopped 24 of 25 shots for the victory.
Ty Loney accounted for the lone Adirondack goal on a third-period pass from Shane Conacher during a power play. That came at the 7:26 mark, but the Thunder failed to score the rest of the way.
Nick Riopel was the losing goalie for the Thunder, who are off until Wednesday.
