SCHENECTADY -- The Saratoga Springs doubles tandem of Sara Bjork and Rebecca Mangona advanced to the finals of the Section II Girls Tennis doubles tournament with a semifinal win Tuesday at Sportime Tennis.
Bjork and Mangona defeated Guilderland's Rachel Gallei and Lauren Fehervari, 6-0, 6-3.
The Blue Streaks' pair is scheduled to play in the final on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Sportime Tennis against Mitali Das and Shibani Das of Emma Willard.
They defeated Sarah Rubin and Alexa Grossman of Bethlehem, 6-0, 6-1.
The win assures Bjork and Mangona a trip to the New York State Tennis Championships in Syracuse.
This is the 21st time that a Saratoga singles or doubles team has reached the finals of individual competition.
They are the 44th and 45th players to represent Saratoga in the state championships.
