Instruction: Private baseball or softball hitting, fielding and pitching instruction for $20 (30 minutes), and $40 (one hour).
Dec. 16-17: Theories and Techniques of Coaching will be taught at Vent Fitness Center in Guilderland, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. Cost is $175 if registered by Dec. 1, $225 after that. Dec. 31: The 20th annual First Night Saratoga 5K Run will be held at 5:30 p.m. The run is limited to the first 1,500 registrants. There is no race-day registration. The course starts and ends on the Skidmore College campus. Registration is $25 before Nov. 24 and guarantees a long-sleeved shirt. After Nov. 24, registration is $30. Indoor pickleball: Players of any experience level can participate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:15 to 11:15 a.m. at Gavin Park. Three to six courts will be available each session.
