Aug. 11: St. Cecilia’s Church will hold its tournament at Cronin’s Golf Resort. Format is four-person scramble, though individual players are welcome and will be placed on a team. Registration begins at 11:15 a.m., followed by lunch and a 1 p.m. shotgun start. Cost is $95 per person and includes greens fees, cart, lunch, awards and dinner. Aug. 16: The 17th annual Golf for Youth tournament, held by the Kiwanis Club of Glens Falls, will be held at Queensbury Country Club with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. Format is a four-person scramble. Aug. 17: Airway Meadows will be holding its 10th annual Benefit Tournament with check-in at 11:30 a.m. The format is an 18-hole, four-player scramble. Aug. 24: Cornell Cooperative Extension will be holding its fourth Annual Golf Tournament and Silent Auction at Cronin’s Golf Resort in Warrensburg. All proceeds from this benefit will be used to help financially support the group’s educational programs. The group is seeking donations for the silent auction. In-Kind gift donations may be shipped to Cornell Cooperative Extension, 377 Schroon River Road, Warrensburg, 12885. Aug. 26: The fifth annual golf tournament to benefit AARCH is hosted by Westport Country Club. It’s a four-man scramble format with three divisions: men’s, women’s and mixed. There’s a 10:30 a.m. registration, an 11:30 a.m. lunch and a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start. The cost is $100 per player, and pre-registration is required. Sept. 7-8: The annual Memorial Golf Tournament will be at Cobble Hill Golf Course. Starting times are 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. The format will be a two-person scramble/best ball. Flights will be established following Saturday’s round. Entry fee is $100 per player and includes greens fees, contests, food and beverages. The deadline to register is Sept. 4. Sept. 8: Country Meadows Golf will host the Harrisena Community Church golf/bocce ball day. The day will feature lunch, then bocce or nine holes of golf. The cost for lunch only is $12.50, lunch and bocce is $20 and lunch and golf is $25. Contact the church at 792-1902 or Scott Fraser at 480-1706.

Sept. 15: North Country Ministry will hold its fifth annual Fall Classic at Cronin’s Golf Resort. The four-person scramble tees off with a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start. Registration ($85 per person before Sept. 5, $95 after that) includes golf, cart, light lunch, beverages, dinner, prizes, gifts and silent auction. Proceeds benefit charity work in the area. Sept. 15: High Peaks Hospice and Palliative Care will host the fifth annual Claire Sweet Memorial Golf Tournament at Top of the World Golf Resort. There’s an 8 a.m. registration with a 9 a.m. shotgun start. For more information, visit or call Sunday Conine at 743-1672 or email at

Sept. 21: Corinth Dollars for Scholars will hold its 19th Annual Golf Tournament at Brookhaven Golf Club. The four-person scramble tees off with a 9 a.m. shotgun start. The cost of $80 ($85 after Sept. 14th) includes golf, cart, a light lunch, dinner and prizes. For more information, call 654-9346 or 654-7697.

-- Green Mansions will host a Monday night league. The cost is $10 greens fees plus $6 cart fee for those who ride. Dues for the league will be $40 per player with all money being paid back out to the winning teams. Starting tee times each week will be between 4 and 5:30 p.m. It is a two-person league, maximum of 24 teams. It is a handicapped league so everyone is welcome and everyone can be competitive on a weekly basis. For more information, contact the golf course.

-- Top of the World Golf Resort in Lake George is starting a senior league for ages 55 and up. The league will play Fridays after 5 p.m. For more information, call 668-3000.

-- Cronin’s Golf Resort hosts the Wednesday Night Cash Bash each week, now starting at 3:30 p.m. The Cash Bash is a two-person scramble with handicap. There’s a two-team blind draw. The public is welcome. Contact the clubhouse at 623-9336 for more information.
