The Adirondack Thunder signed their fourth returning player, and their most veteran. James Henry will be back in Glens Falls come October.
The 26-year-old forward played the previous two seasons with the Thunder and has proven himself a leader among the group.
After being plagued by injuries two years ago, he played in 65 games last year and set career highs in all scoring measures. His 54 points were second on the team, made up of 20 goals and 34 assists.
In the team’s brief tenure, Henry has the third-most points at 75 and games played at 109.
The Thunder previously signed forwards J.C. Campagna and Terrence Wallin, as well as defenseman Kevin Lough.
Of the eight players to which the Thunder extended qualifying offers, Brock Montgomery, Greg Wolfe and Alex Wall have signed in Europe. Gunnar Hughes, Phil Lane, Ty Loney, and Brian Ward remain.
