MORIAH -- Ron Schofield ran in three of Moriah's six touchdowns to help his team defeat Ticonderoga, 42-12, for the Class D title in the Section VII Football Tournament. Schofield rushed for 6- and 9-yards on two of the touchdowns and completed another on an 84-yard kick-off return. Teammate Ryan Mascarenas accounted for four successful extra-point kicks.
For Ticonderoga, Robert Kearns made an 82-yard kick-off return for one touchdown, and Todd Carr ran in a 2-yard TD in the game's closing seconds.
